Menard Electric Cooperative General Manager Alisha Anker recently presented a donation as part of CoBank’s Sharing Success Program to Veterans Memorial Park board members Eric Creviston, Karen Priddy, Sean Priddy and Damon Priddy.
The Veterans Memorial Park in Petersburg received a total of $3,500 to aid in its revitalization project that includes installing new flag poles, paver areas and bench seating as well as removing and replanting of trees and other landscaping.
“We are happy to partner with CoBank again this year to lend assistance to several local organizations serving our members and their communities in a variety of ways. This presentation allows us to support the respect and admiration due our area Veterans” says Anker.
Menard Electric is a member of CoBank, a cooperative lending facility, who as part of the Sharing Success program matched this year’s donations from Menard Electric Cooperative to charitable organizations chosen by the co-op’s Board of Directors. One-half of the donation reflects a gift from the cooperative while the other half was matching funds from CoBank.
