Menard Electric Cooperative and CoBank recently presented a $1,000 donation to Tri-City Education Foundation as part of CoBank’s Sharing Success Program during a fundraising event the organization held at Gusto’s Family Pizzeria in Dawson. Holding the symbolic check are Menard Electric Manager Alisha Anker, Stephanie Forgas and Lenee Kresse; Back row from left are Kara Cummins, Amber Weekly, John Martincic, Christy Kindel and Melissa Black.
Menard Electric is a member of CoBank, a cooperative lending facility, who matched donations from Menard Electric Cooperative to charitable organizations chosen by the co-op’s Board of Directors.
The foundation supports teachers in the Tri-City School District by funding educational programs and equipment that are not funded by tax dollars or have lost funding due to budgetary constraints.
“We are pleased to support Tri-City Education Foundation as they work to continue to support teachers in this most unusual school year after cancellations of many of their traditional fundraising efforts,” says Anker.
