Director Election
We are governed by an elected Board of 9 Directors, each representing a Director District. Each year 3 Districts are elected to serve a 3-year term at our Annual Meeting of Members. At this year's meeting on June 17, 2026 Directors for Districts 3, 7 & 8 will be elected.
District 3: Arenzville, Beardstown, Jacksonville, Virginia areas. This District is an Open Seat.
District 7: Lincoln, Mason City, Middletown, New Holland areas. Incumbent Michael Patrick will seek re-election.
District 8: Athens, Elkhart, Sherman, Williamsville areas. Incumbent Warren Goetsch will seek re-election.
In an environment of change and challenges, our Directors work together to establish policies that govern the Co-op with the mission to provide safe, reliable, affordable electricity to homes, farms and businesses. Directors attend monthly meetings and have the opportunity to attend training and conferences that focus on leadership skills, the electric utility industry, and the cooperative business model.
Members interested in running for Director should contact us for details at 217-632-7746 or info@menard.com and should drop by our office at 14300 IL St Hwy 97, Petersburg, IL to obtain a Member Petition Nomination Form. The form will require the candidate to obtain nominations from at least 10 active co-op members (name, address, original signature).
Petitions must be returned to our office by 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026.
