2023 is the 6th year for our Scholarship program. Scholarship criteria emphasized community volunteer work and why local service is important; additional criteria included academic achievements and school activities. Applications were open to seniors whose parent/legal guardian is an active member with service at their home. The judging panel was made up of impartial individuals chosen from within the co-op industry but without direct ties to Menard Electric.
$2,000 Scholarship to 4-year university: Madelyn Cox of Mechanicsburg/Lutheran High School.
$1, 500 Scholarship to 2-year community college: Clay Aylesworth of Mt. Pulaski.
$1,500 Scholarship to tech program: Nathan Kleiss of Athens.
Bonus - Youth to Washington Trip: Riley Zanger of Petersburg/PORTA.
